Sauteed Balsamic Mushrooms. In a 10-inch straight-sided sauté pan heat 1 Tbs. After the mushrooms release their water 5-10 minutes continue cooking until the mushrooms turn golden brown.
Cook for 1 minute then add. Of the butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat. Stir in the balsamic.
Add mushrooms and cook 2 more minutes stirring occasionally.
Fry until the mushrooms have reduced in size and lost their moisture and the onions are softened completely. Saute the garlic in olive oil for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir and then saute another 6-7 minutes until tender. Add mushrooms and cook 2 more minutes stirring occasionally.
