Buttercream Icing Not Too Sweet. 1 cup sugar yields a sweet frosting but not overly sweet like buttercream which uses about 25 - 3 cups equivalent. Be sure to stop and check the consistency of your frosting as you go and avoid mixing for too long at high speeds. But you can fix that. The lemon juice helps a bit here.
