To make it dairy free use coconut cream instead of heavy cream.
When your cream is warmed pour it over the chocolate chips and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Use full-fat canned coconut milk and just use the solidified cream part. You may need more than one can. Place chopped or grated chocolate into a medium-sized heatproof bowl and set aside.
